7 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me

Ok, so my 7 things you probably didn't know about me.

1. I love to sing. Doesn't matter where. Usually it's whenever there is music playing. I didn't say I was good at it. So if I start singing along, don't mind me.
   
   
2. Social networking and blogging sometimes wear me out. There's so much of it going on and so many people out there to connect with it's hard to not get overwhelmed sometimes. I am a student of life and I always feel like there is more that I can learn so it's very hard for me to close the RSS reader or close the Twitter for awhile. I've been leaning more towards using these mediums to facilitate face-to-face interaction and just living my life somewhere other than behind a computer screen. Not that I've stopped participating or learning by any means. But I have unfortunately cut back on blogging as often as I'd like. Then again, life's too short to consume myself with social media 24/7.
   
   
3. I love MTV. I hate admitting this to people especially because I should be bitter like the rest of the people who remember when MTV actually had music videos on it. MTV isn't really MTV anymore it's TFRTV (Teen-Fake-Reality-TV) My favorite is probably one of the worst reality TV shows because it's anything BUT reality: The Hills. I just can't seem to pull my eyes away from all the drama. And I love the Real World, True Life and all those other shows. I don't do drugs or anything so I guess this is my human nature trying to kill off a few brain cells. Usually I catch shows on sick days or in between work and various meetings I've got going on.
   
   
4. I hate American Idol. Go figure! I think something like The Hills is interesting and American Idol isn't. It doesn't make sense, I know. I've seen 2 episodes of American Idol and that was enough.
   
   
5. Reading a good book is on of my favorite things to do. My mother instilled this into me when I was little. (She's a librarian.) The only type of book I don't really like is mysteries. But even then I can appreciate it if it's written well. I use GoodReads.com a lot to keep track of what I want to read, what I've read and what I liked and I love getting books from the library.
   
   
6. I was a band geek in high school. Well I had been playing the clarinet since 4th grade but I joined the Marching Band my freshmen year of high school. The majority of my closest friends are people I met in Marching Band. This one time, at band camp...
