Observer's 100 Best Photos of 2008

I have a strong appreciation for photo journalism. There's something about being able to capture a single moment in time without (supposedly) being a participant in the event. The Observer's got a nice gallery of their best images, so you should definitely check out these images from the Charlotte Observer's best 100 of 2008.
